Guys, FolderSize addin for explorer relies on shell interface by which custom column handlers could be added. This shell interface has been removed starting from Vista and also from Windows 7. Hence it does not work.
Have a look at this thread for other options:

This might of worked for me because i upgraded from Vista to Win7, that is only a guess but i have tried on many other PC's running windows 7 and worked fine, although i must say, this did NOT work on my brother in-laws PC's...so something either must be turned on or it might be linked to Vista somehow...I will do more research and let you guys know

Are you sure? It may install, but is it actually showing the folder size column?

This has been talked about a lot re: Win7 not supporting the FolderSize column add-in. There are a lot of people who want to know what you did if you really have FolderSize working.

Who the hell told you it works in Windows 7. First tip for blogging. Always try to confirm by applying yourself, then write about it, never copy.

Read on their own website http://foldersize.sourceforge.net/

They have clearly mentioned in top first two lines " Folder Size 2.5 is for Windows 2000 or XP.

Sorry, Vista and 7 changed Explorer so it can't support this column anymore."

So, its doesn't work in Windows 7, it do works sometimes in Windows Vista, I have tried on my own. But for Windows 7, I'm pretty sure.
